The explosive-protective housing of ARTUS-Ex allows for use in hazardous areas and meets the latest explosion protection standards for installation in explosion-endangered zones 1,2,21 and 22. The certification covers not only the protective housing itself, but also all components such as the infrared camera, heating, and interface controller. An additional certification, as would otherwise be required for the use of the components referred to above, is therefore no longer required by the installer/operator.

This makes the ARTUS-Ex protective housing an indispensable monitoring unit for early fire detection systems, or for condition monitoring of industrial plants with potentially explosive atmospheres.
